All the students who are interested to participate in Cultural Items, Anchoring and Modelling are requested to contact the concerned teachers in the committee on or before 5th March 2026. Notice: The regular classes for the session 2025-26 for the students of BA/B.Sc/BCom I, II, III will be upto 12th March 2026. So all the students of the concerned streams have to attend their classes regularly up to 12th March 2026. Eco Club: Nurturing a Greener Tomorrow



Eco Club is dedicated to promoting environmental awareness and sustainability. We aim to inspire students and staff to adopt eco-friendly practices through various initiatives like workshops, clean-up drives, and campus greening projects.


OUR MISSION

To build a sustainable, environmentally conscious community through education, action, and innovation.


What We Do

  • Awareness Campaigns:Host workshops and seminars on climate change, waste management, and sustainable living.
  • Green Projects: Organize tree-planting drives, rooftop gardening, and energy-saving initiatives.
  • Campus Clean-Ups: Regular clean-up drives to reduce litter and promote recycling.
  • Community Engagement: Collaborate with local organizations to extend environmental consciousness beyond campus.( financial support from the Himachal Council for Science Technology and Environment (HIMCOSTE))

AIMS & OBJECTIVES

  • To create awareness amongst the students and society on current environmental issues
  • To motivate the students to keep their surroundings clean and green
  • To instill a sense of responsibility in the students for the natural environment and a personal commitment to protect and preserve it for the future generations
  • To work for the maintenance of green cover in and around Shimla through annual plantation drives
  • To create awareness on biodiversity, natural resources and their conservation
  • To create awareness about the harmful effects of plastics on our environment and to sensitize the students to segregate the plastic waste from other biodegradable waste
  • To create awareness on climate change and human survival
  • To motivate the students to conserve water through minimal use
  • To motivate the students to adopt a lifestyle with minimum waste generation
