ANTI-RAGGING SQUAD / CELL:

An anti-ragging squad / cell, with Principal as the Chairperson, has been formed to sensitize students about the menace of ragging which has sullied the name of many a reputed institution by scarring lives of new entrants. Following measures have been taken to ensure safe environs for the seekers of higher education.

  • Installation of CCTV cameras at vital points in the college.
  • Putting up of notices for making students aware of the consequences of indulging in any form of ragging.
  • Alarm buttons on each floor of the building for the use of students in case of an emergency.
  • Display of names and phone numbers of members of anti-ragging squad at vital points of the college.
  • Regular counseling sessions for students by members of the DSW committee.
  • At the time of admission, an undertaking is given by the parent that his/her daughter will not indulge in ragging, which both the ward and the parent understand is an offence and is punishable under law.

ZERO TOLERANCE TO RAGGING

Ragging is a criminal offence and any student found involved in ragging in any form whatsoever, will be punished stringently .Ragging in and around the college/hostel campus or onroads/ approaches leading the retois strictly prohibited. If any student is found indulging in ragging directly or indirectly, the college authorities shall be obliged under rule 22.17(a)(b)(c) of H.P. University to expel the guilty and report the matter to the police as ragging amounts to a criminal offence. The college has constituted an Anti-Ragging Cell to ensure a ragging free environment.The names and contact numbers of the respective teachers are as follows:

  • Smoking, consuming drugs, alcohol, tobacco products or any other intoxicating substances is strictly prohibited in the college/ hostel campus. Any violation will attract severe disciplinaryaction.
  • The students must carry their identity cards at all times. Entry in the college without identity cards is strictly prohibited.
  • The prospectus cum handbook of information is published for the purpose of information only.
