Special Guest Lecture on India-Tibet Relations Department of Political Science, RKMV 19 August 2026
The Department of Political Science, under the aegis of IQAC, RKMV, and in collaboration with the 108 Peace Institute, organized a special guest lecture on 19 August 2026 on the them ;India-Tibet Relations: Historical and; Political Ties and Their Contemporary Significance.
The session was graced by Dr. Anurita Saxena, Principal, RKMV, and Ven. Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok, Former Parliamentarian of the Tibetan Parliament in Exile, Dharamsala was the keynote speaker. He shared insightful perspectives on the historical, cultural, spiritual, and geopolitical ties between India and Tibet, highlighting their contemporary significance for environmental security, human rights, and national security.
Appreciating the insightful address of the keynote speaker, the Principal acknowledged the valuable perspectives shared and encouraged students to explore Tibet rich cultural heritage and traditional knowledge systems, particularly its traditional practices of medicine.
The lecture proved to be an enriching learning experience, providing students and faculty with a deeper understanding of the historical and contemporary dimensions of India-Tibet relations.
