The Institution has a transparent mechanism for timely redressal of student grievances including sexual harassment, caste based discrimination and ragging cases
  1. 1. Implementation of guidelines of statutory/regulatory bodies
  2. 2. Organization wide awareness and undertakings on policies with zero tolerance
  3. 3. Mechanisms for submission of online/offline students’ grievances
  4. 4. Timely Redressal of the grievances through appropriate committees

Our college maintains a transparent and student-friendly grievance redressal system to ensure the safety, dignity, and well-being of all students. A dedicated Grievance Redressal Cell, Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) for sexual harassment cases, Prevention of Caste Based Discriminatiuon Cell and an Anti-Ragging Committee are in place to handle complaints promptly and fairly. Students can register grievances through an online portal or in-person submission, ensuring confidentiality and non-retaliation. Each case is addressed within a stipulated time frame, with regular follow-ups and resolutions monitored by the respective committees. This mechanism reflects the institution’s zero-tolerance policy towards harassment, discrimination, and ragging.

The institution has a dedicated email ID and an online form that are available on the institute’s website, wherein the students can submit their grievances regarding any sort of harassment including sexual, caste based harassment and ragging.

A. SEXUAL HARASSMENT POLICY:
  • Strictly prohibits any unwelcome behavior of a sexual nature, whether verbal, physical, or visual.
  • Follows the guidelines set by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013.
  • An Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) is established to handle complaints confidentially, ensuring fair investigation and timely resolution.

B. ZERO TOLERANCE TO RAGGING :
  • Ragging is a criminal offence and any student found involved in ragging in any form whatsoever, will be punished stringently. Ragging in and around the college/ hostel campus or on roads/ approaches leading thereto is strictly prohibited.
  • If any student is found indulging in ragging directly or indirectly, the college authorities shall be obliged under rule 22.17 (a) (b) (c) of H. P. University to expel the guilty and report the matter to the police as ragging amounts to a criminal offence.
  • The college has constituted an Anti-Ragging Cell to ensure a ragging free environment.

  • Provides a structured platform to raise academic, administrative, or personal issues.
  • A Grievance Redressal Cell is available where students can lodge complaints either in person or through an online portal.
  • The cell works to resolve issues impartially within a specified time frame.
